Simon (Steve) Maurice Soldinger M.D. was born in Manchester, England in 1951. He lived in England until age 3 when his family moved to Ohio, and finally moving to the San Fernando Valley at age 7.
He went to Cleveland High School in Reseda and graduated in 1969 with honors. Then he went to UCLA from 1969-1973, graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a BA degree in Psychology. He then attended UC Irvine Medical School from 1973-1977. He did his Internship at Los Angeles County-University of Southern California 1977-1978. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at the University of California at Los Angeles Neuropsychiatric Institute 1978-1981. He became Board Certified in Psychiatry in 1983. He became a distinguished fellow in Psychiatry in 2003.
Doctor Soldinger serves on the Board of the Southern California Psychiatric Society as the Councilor for the San Fernando Valley. He is a member Of Alpha Epsilon Pi social Fraternity. He is the International President-Elect of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity as well as the Editor-in-Chief of the Scientific Newsletter of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity. He is married with three children and lives in the San Fernando Valley.
